@Great-Big-Stees said56 is considered old for Golf Clubs, but impressive that you still have them, my old friend. 😉 I am sure they are older than some people on this site!!!
Not sure about that but they are 56 years old. But outside of non 3rd world countries 56 may indeed/sadly, be considered old.

@Very-Rusty saidYou’re absolutely right, I have friends here and in “real life” who are not friends, some actually, enemies is the wrong term let’s say, don’t come close to seeing eye to eye and I am, on occasion, able to have them come to an understanding. Maybe I am a go between rather than a fence sitter?🤔😁
You certainly need to hear or I should say see both sides to make a determination on what way your leaning. You have a tendency to try to stay friends with both sides. I know I have seen it, not a put down but very obvious. It isn't a bad thing to be friends with everyone, or have golf clubs older than some people on this site. 😉

@Great-Big-Stees saidI believe at times, it can be a bad place to be. One side or the other can have a feeling you are siding with the person they are having a disagreement with. I know, I've pointed this out to you before, my old friend. You do try to be a mediator and mean well I know that much.

@Great-Big-Stees saidAgreed, at one time they made Golf Clubs to last. 🙂 It is like many other things especially vehicles. Many Products in today's world are just not made to last as they were back in the day!

@Very-Rusty saidThe big reason I have kept my clubs as long as I have, aside from the fact that they work just fine for me, the cost of decent new ones. I payed around $70 Cdn for them including a canvas golf bag (long since gone). In today’s world a new set of OK clubs will run you anywhere from $500-800. He’ll I have friends who spend $400-500 just for a driver. (More money than brains)😲😉

@Great-Big-Stees saidIndeed prices have went up drastically in 56 years!! Products aren't made to last like they once were. I remember when you could take a hammer to car, now all you have to do is push your hand on the side of any new car and you can push the metal in. I wasn't suggesting you get new clubs either, by the way.

It would be fun to put Prices of what things cost 56 years ago and then today prices for same product.

@Great-Big-Stees saidNo need to throw away something that works just because there are new models. There will be new products all the time.

@Great-Big-Stees
Stees, the man.. do what makes you most comfortable. Don't fix that which is not broken.
@Torunn saidI use my grandfathers lawn bowls which he used in the 60s though I do need to take a lot of grass.

@Arkturos saidNot a hen sir, a bear.
And then there's "Saint" Suzi Battlebot, and Ghost the Mother Hen Superior.
Best not to poke...
@Great-Big-Stees saidDo you have a “niblick” in your bag?
Not sure about that but they are 56 years old. But outside of non 3rd world countries 56 may indeed/sadly, be considered old.

@Arkturos saidIt's no veneer, my dear, and you may quote me on that. (But indeed, do take care not to poke the bear.)
If you touch my coat, I'll have you arrested.
Strange and sad that you should be one of the few people I find difficult to deal with on the forums these days. (Suzi would be another one, but that's not much of a surprise.) Maybe because I can see past the veneer of whimsy?
As for the other thing, either you have fully forgotten who I am, and my history, which I have made no secret of, or you are no longer the person you claimed to be in your past lifetime here. The aggression I get from you now is off the charts from the you I remember. And you know what they say about playing with fire. I'm a true Scorpio, so you can take that to the bank. Also, my rising sign is Leo, so I'm not one to brook nonsense from fools. But the you who was here before knows all this, even if this you has forgotten.
@Great-Big-Stees saidI see you as one of the "village elders" here, Stees, and many of us "young'uns" consider you with respect. You've always been a stabilizing force to me here, along with Sister Torunn. Much love and respect to you both.

@Suzianne said😍 Thank you, Suzie. Stees has been around since 2004, and I joined as 'lolof' in 2007. He has always been a reliable support for me too - a good friend.
