Just set up our first ever christmas tree...got a fake one so we can stick it in the attic and re-use it. There isn't enough sparkly sh11t on it yet, so we'll go to Ikea and other places tomorrow to see what we can do 🙂

For obvious reasons i'm in charge of the "western festivities" this year. Can't wait to cook my first Turkey joint, and the look on her friend's kid's face when we tell her there is a gift under the tree.

You've got that right. What a shame it can't go on. I think of the first world war when the "opposing sides" (in one particular zone) decided, on their own, to call a ceasefire for a day and have a bit of a Xmas get together with drinks and a meal. Next day they were at eachother again. Guess that says it all eh?😳
