At last count mine is … 31.9 ...
I wonder if this is close to the average game length?
I suppose you should have at leas 100 games played
before it is a valid statistic.

28.79.

I have resigned about 12 of my games recently without even making a move due to time issues, so exluding those, I'm at 30.1.

You should not count your games in progress and the moves made in them..............

If you are simply basing this on your profile figures this is not 100% correct unless you have 0 current games. i.e. in your example say I have 20 current active games and I assume I have made 20 moves in each game, that would give me 400 moves. I would need to subtract this from the total move figure to give a true result for the number of games completed.

Using your figures, 13761-400 = 13361, /431 = 31, not nearly 32.

Obviously the more moves you have made in uncompleted games the more this will effect your result

True, you are correct, this isn’t a pure scientific measure of how
many moves you make per game, but it should be pretty close.
The number of games ongoing does not count in your games
played total where your total moves do and there is no way of easily
calculating the number of moves you have made in those ongoing
games. The resulting bias is one where higher moves per games
are yielded. If everyone uses the same crude method, incorporating
the same bias, you will have an approximation of how many moves
per game a given player makes per game. Yes?
