Sometimes a severed artery goes into spasm. A well meaning bystander puts a coat over the severed leg. It warms up and starts bleeding again under the coat. (In case you wanted to know)

That depends how you wish to go. Dying by blood loss probably is quite nice, you become unconscious and cease to live. Dying by asphyxiation is a bad way to go (i imagine)

We spend a bit of time in some very wooded areas and I have always wondered if there was a bobcat over the next ridge. Getting eaten alive would not be a good way to go.
