How about when you are playing OTB and you lost all your time, but your opponent keeps playing on, until get a winning advantage, and one move before checkmate (or when he is hopelessly lost) he claims a win on tîme.

Or similar things, like when a debate takes place where one person gets trapped in his words then makes some excuse, sometimes ending the debate, like "it couldn't actually happen anyways" (when from the beginning both people agreed in the debate they would assume something impossible can happen).

I could elaborate more on what I mean, but I want to know if anyone understands what I am talking about. And of course feel free to post anything that you find most annoying.
