Anyone familiar with renewing subscription for this? They've emailed me a code but it is not accepted on the renewal screen. Thoroughly flipped off with the whole arrangement, just forked out £20 for one more year and they can't even send the right flipping codes.
Anyone else suffered similar? Google couldn't find owt for me.
Edit - yes I've asked them about it. Can only email and wait or phone 9-5 which is fat use as I have to work.
Get your money back. NIS isn't very good anyway.
Use a "safe" browser (anything other than IE), install a fast firewall (eg. Sygate) and that's all you'll really need. There are far better anti-virus programs available too.
Alternatively, grab a free, "cracked" copy of NIS using a "peer-to-peer" client.
I have a safe browser thanks π
I'm quite happy to use NIS if I can get this resolved, I just don't understand why they say they'll send something in an email (subscription key) then what they sent was an activation key (it's already active for flips sake). To then only run telephone customer service which is 9-5 is pretty shoddy in my book, given most home computer users will be doing this kinda stuff in the evening or at weekends.
End rant.
Is Sygate any good? I just took it off a friends PC (that is over 10years old and had not been maintatined for 4 years) and put Zonelabs on as I couldn't renew their free subscription for Sygate. I see a pattern developing here... Maybe it's just me and subscription renewals...

2) Bad idea. ZoneAlarm, like Norton, can be problematic.
3) On this very page, you should find a clue to my own secret... π

Personally I agree with the Sygate suggestion which I use with AVG, which is also free from:

My advice is to DUMP all Norton Anti-virus and Norton Internet Security programs! Yeah, your computer will boot 10 times faster and run a hell of a lot quicker. It won't crash every other week either once you dump the Symantic products.
Buy one of the better anti-virus programs out there like McAfee. These people know what they're doing and will help you if you have a problem. The Symantic people won't even bother to answer your email.
