Actually she would because you still need a planetary size magnetic field and an atmosphere if you are a "nordlys" in order to exist at all.
I'm guessing she isn't from there at all!
Although technically it wouldn't be aurora between the star and the planet, just "solar" (actually, Betelgeuze) wind.
