notebook or laptop?

i'm right at the point of throwing this crappy computer out the window and i'm going to get either a notebook or a laptop but i'm not sure which.

£500 is my limit i think.

i like a notebook because of its size but a laptop would have more flexibility with music files and downloads etc. but i just pretty much want it to use the internet.

what are your recommendations?

i'm thinking netbook purely because of the size but am worried there won't be enough room for music files?

Depends how big a pirate you are.

I happen to like my Gateway Platinum MP8708 laptop. It has quite a versatile ability to it, albeit a better sound quality would have been nice. But I use it for video and web site information.

But if all you need is simple, then a net-book or notebook would suffice quite nicely.

I have an asus 901.

cons: you'll have to get an external hard drive for the music if you have a lot as it only comes with 20 gigs.

pros: it's awesome. solid state drive instead of hard drive so 8hr battery life, super-fast performance and you can drop it.
