I really suck at this game but love it at the same time. Especially Hi/Lo.

How good of a starting hand is 45 (clubs) with 46 (spades)?

Am i wrong to be raising with this preflop?

That is garbage. Throw it in the muck.

A-2 A-K double suited is the best opening hand.
A A 2 3, K K 2. 3 and A-K suited 2, 3 are all monster openers as well

In a cut throat H/L game, you better not open with garbage or you better be
lucky as hell or you will get felted.

Edit: A 2 3 4 is a good hand to see a flop with. It is better if double suited.

If you raise with LO you will lose your dough.
Remember that!!!

I'm going to spend all day trying to crack this code... I think some clues may be in the 'poem' thread.

Whatever is going on, I know Trev is up to something!~

Thread alerted for safety's sake.

straights and flushes are usually losing hands in Omaha.

If you hit a boat, the odds of a bigger boat are pretty good.

Believe me, toss that hand.

why is razz followed by 7 card stud in 8-game. i've now lost at least 10k in chips in a tournament i'm playing in playing stud thinking it was still razz... paying attention was never a strong point 😞

i think i'll leave that omaha hand when the blinds are quite big... still might give it a punt when they're low with either pot-limit or limit though. probably why i suck at it lol

It general follows a HORSE rotation.

Hold'em, Omaha H/L, Razz, Seven stud, Seven Stud H/L

If you play those types of hands in an Omaha game I am in, you will call me Daddy.

Meh. btw i went out at #104 from over 5k entrants... some dude called for about 3/4 of his stack on a straight draw on the river in hold'em and got lucky. Go figure.

There's 4 1/2 hours i'm never getting back... like i was going to do anything with them today anyway 😞
