@Arkturos saidYou could have just said, "Thanks for the advice" and grown a little.
First: how insufferably haughty of you to inform me of things of which I am already aware! π
Also, I hope you didn't take that personally. Are you a moderator? I did not have you in mind at all, nor any of the moderators here.
Er, I think the numbers might get out of sync from this point on. Oh! I'll prefix your points with a "Y" for clarity.
Y1: already got perma- ...[text shortened]... e careful with that.
And what if I were to reveal that the other forum was an astrology forum? π
@Very-Rusty saidActually, regarding that astrology site, the problematic moderator was selected (and brought back out of moderation retirement) to help with moderation by the top moderator who herself ended up getting bumped from the site after a change of site ownership because of some disagreement.
Kevin,
You got know by now things will not always go your way. If the Site owner(s) picked this moderator then they liked the way he conducted himself. Perhaps you aggravated her/him too much??? You been known to do that from time to time.

And regarding what you wrote, I would agree that I can be combative at times (something I'm aware of and not necessarily proud of -- but neither am I going to abase myself and grovel for having that unexpected trait).
On my side, if some site asked me to be a moderator, I think it would depend on the ecology of the site and how I had behaved in that ecology whether I decided to accept or recuse myself from the role.
Obviously, it would be a bad idea for Russ to give me even a trial run as a moderator. π

Just from my personal observation I couldn't see YOU EVER being asked by any Site to be a Moderator. Apologies, for any hurt or anguish this statement may cause you.

@moonbus saidNot to turn this forum into Astro-Talk, but I have Capricorn rising with Saturn just below and approaching the Ascendant.
So, you're having a bumpy Saturn transit. We all have them, we all get through them, until, eventually, one of them kills us. Looks like you survived this one though.
(Obviously there must be other configurations in my cat's cradle of a chart that might help explain why I'm not just a dignified, buttoned-up controller.)
As for survival: last week I was bleeding out for two or three days from kidney stones scraping up me tubes on their way out, to the extent that I checked Google Med to see how much blood I could afford to lose before I should really go to the ER.
And a week later, I had some kind of cold or flu that I would not recommend to anyone else. The worst part was the fits of dry-coughing. Yes, it gave my upper abs a workout, but it was a strain on whatever connects those to my ribs.
I hadn't been sick that way for years, and it turned out that all the cold medicine in the house had expired five or six years ago (except for the generic pseudoephedrine which expired in 10/25 -- but I'm not sure even that had remained effective in a relatively non-climate-controlled house.
And sure, I did a quick check on Astro-Matchup to see if any of their auto-reports had anything to say about health issues, but those reports exclude transits by Jupiter, Saturn, and the "modern" planets. If I remember correctly, Saturn is kind of conjunct Neptune these days, which might be affecting all of us (on Earth I mean -- I just don't see how any version of Terran astrology would have any relevance for other sentient-and-cultured species elsewhere in the Cosmos).

@Very-Rusty saidDear Rusty, sometimes a punch from a friend can be dearer and more life-enhancing than a hug from an enemy. π

@Very-Rusty saidI was already feeling pretty good, but thank you anyway.
Kevin,
If it makes you feel any better I can't see any Site asking me to me a Moderator as I would be far too bias.

@rookie54 saidI disagree, because it seems so manospheric and inconsiderate of women and trans people and non-binary people.
a perfectly succinct reply
all wrapped up inna nice lil sack
However, I have (to my dismay) even seen instances of women telling others to "grow some balls" -- and that did not go down well. Makes them seem they are all-in with the patriarchy.
It seems we are devolving back into some kind of brazenly brainstem-driven society, and to hell with the midbrain or the neocortex for that matter.
@Arkturos saidSorry to hear of your health issues. Passing stones is extremely painful. I've passed a few myself.

@Arkturos saidYou should not be banned for giving your opinion. I find that sad. Feedback and Mods have not responded me in ages. I guess they are busy with bigger things. My things were small.
Thank goodness we don't have such behavior clearly on display here.
Recently I was on another forum where one of the mods was both trollish in their own behavior toward others and also seemed driven by a wish to seem the most well-informed on that forum.
(Naturally I objected and got perma-banned -- which is too bad for me, because there were some cool people on that forum who I miss.)
Russ however has always been good about responding whether he agreed with me or not. It's always good when they respond.
You should get a sub, you would enjoy a lot of what this site has to offer.
