That's when the Constitutional amendment was introduced, but Prohibition in the USA didn't officially end until December 5, 1933, after being ratified by three-quarters of the 48 states. Prohibition continued in some individual states beyond 1933.

Considered a big upset back at that time....I believe they called them the Miracle Team after that win!!!

I am not postitive and would have to look it up but I believe they had to beat the Canadians also in that series?
