I think those who are our genuine friends meet certain needs - intellectual, emotional, spiritual - that we each have and they do so in a way that other people we interact with can't - or can't do so well - or can't do in a way which makes them seem indispensable.

Why not sending FMF and Kewpie a PM and demand that they
take your calls? Private matters ventilated in public are bad
taste, even for your kind.

I dont' consider any of 3 of you being the so called in crowd. You maybe more than the aforementioned though. 😉

Don't get me wrong, I think friendliness and goodwill can exist online of course. I just don't think that true friendship is possible without at least phone contact.
I must disagree with you on that one. I consider Our Clan Leader to be a true friend, and we've never spoken on the phone. I consider GP to be a good true friend although we've never talked on the phone.
Having said that mind you, these are internet friends, who i've known over many years. Not friends like you would know in person. I would still consider both to be True Friends. There are others of course, I am just using these two as examples who I feel wouldn't mind my saying so.

Likewise Dive and robbie although robbie will kick my ass.
robbie could probably kick a few 2000 players asses. I don't know what he is doing but he certainly has some improvement over the years since we use to be fairly equal in our play.
I think it may have to do with the brews he consumes, not any computer programs he might be using ( I meant studying) 😉
