If this is about the true story I'm thinking of, Bill Bryson wrote about it in 'Down Under'. He said that there is evidence to suggest that it had nothing to do with sharks at all.
The couple's flotation jacket thingys washed up completely unscathed a little while after they disappeared - sharks are not known for unwrapping their food.
Also, on reading the diary of the man, they found he had written about being unhappy and wanting to 'end it all'. Further, he also wrote about wanting to take his missus with him.

What I found strange is that they said it is a true story but how can they possibly make that claim (oops, may have spoilt the ending for everyone now).

It wasn't a bad film. It's sure put me off scuba diving anyway😕
Right as it started I said 'I want to scuba dive"
I changed my mind after seeing it!

I think the movie you're referring to is called Open Water, my darling. The one where the two people are stranded in the ocean, correct?

I prefer the open boat title - the film sounds totally crap, but hey I haven't seen it. Then again I haven't spent much time watching gravel either.

Not an indie fan, I see. 😉
