We have a dog with tons of energy, and she loves to zoom back and forth in the house and our yard. Something I didn’t know, but now get immense joy out of, is that coupling a high-energy dog with a bubble wand equals pure joy. She will chase the bubbles as fast as she can as a breeze takes them around, left and right, up and down. At times, she will jump straight up to catch the elusive little balls of water. I cannot help but laugh when she blissfully seeks and destroys all the bubbles she can. 🙂 You got a dog and a yard or some place they can run I highly recommend this, you and they will enjoy it if this is common among other dogs.
@KellyJay saidHumans would be a lot happier I suspect if we could be like your dog and take pleasure in the little things.

@KellyJay saidMost of our dogs have been “older” rescue dogs with the exception of one, who had been severely beaten. It took months for him to “take to us but eventually we got him to become a fun loving addition to our animal family (another dog and three cats). He, like your dog, found great pleasure in chasing things, though we never used the “bubble thing”. We’d go walking in the bush and toss sticks into the bush and he wouldn’t come back until he’d found it, once in a while, taking some time doing so. What he’d do though, if he was having trouble finding it, was to take a break and come back to us, making sure we hadn’t abandoned him and seeing we hadn’t, would go back to his search. Animals are GREAT.👍😁👏

@Great-Big-Stees saidMy sister thought someone was stealing her out door seat cushions on her lawn chairs. Later she married a guy with a dog who brought things he found to the house, my brother in law told her once about all of these seat cushions he brought home.

Nothing to with dogs chasing things but it came to mind, and I thought it was funny!

@KellyJay saidAnimals, especially dogs, most often show unconditional love to we humans. Surprising how some of us can’t take note of that and do likewise.🤔
👍
@Great-Big-Stees saidI trust the motives of cats and dogs. There is no hidden agenda.

@Ghost-of-a-Duke saidNo, I had two dogs, with one always getting the blame for things done. Until someone watched the other dog do something, then backed up, putting the other dog in a bad light, and acted as if they were innocent. Even dogs have a dark side. LOL

@KellyJay saidDogs, and cats, are fantastic.

I have a secret pet spider which wanders from under one piece of furniture to another; secret because my wife is terrified of them.
@diver saidHave you seen it 🕷️ lately?🤔😲

@diver saidI used to have a 55-gallon fish tank and kept what are called reed fish in it. They are fish but look like snakes, you had to keep the top secure they do like trying to get out of the tank. I had relatives who didn't come over to my house because of them. I did learn an expensive lesson with them.

I tried and tried to keep mini crabs, 5 dollars a pop, but never could. Years after I got rid of the tank, I saw a book on reed fish. Glancing at it, I discovered the reed fish's favorite food was crustacean, so every time I bought crabs, they were in heaven. 🙁
@KellyJay saidHmm. 🤔 Perhaps there were reed fish in my ancestry, cuz I LOVE crustaceans too.🦞🦐🦀👍
