It's easier in German:
Overlook - (1)übersehen: to not notice something
Overlook - (2) überschauen: to see the whole Picture.

Somebody told me that English would be less ambigouos than german I can't share the Feeling. But I may be prejudiced haveing learned german first πŸ˜‰
