Parental Values & Beliefs

General

A thread idea that has come from my interest and respect for our Royal Family. Today I’m looking forward to seeing Catherine, Princess of Wales, attend Trooping the Colour, having been out of the public eye since her cancer diagnosis, surgery & ongoing chemotherapy.

I can’t help liking the Royal Family. I know it doesn’t make much sense these days but it’s something that was instilled in me by my parents values.

@Drewnogal

I think it does make sense Drew - I believe monarchy - in the best of cases - unlike politics helps maintain a traditional stability, just like what we have in Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Netherlands.

As an American, I find the UK monarchy endlessly fascinating. The Queen was an amazing icon, even over here. Not enjoying Charles so much, but the kids are great.

And I also enjoy the Trooping the Colors to-do.

Both of them, Elizabeth I and II, were impressive regents.

Definitely better entertainment value for money than the Kardashians.

Only watching the jump I'd say, what an incredibly irresponsible father.

Some people shouldn’t be parents.

Insane! The things some parents do to get attention on social media.

There’s a youtube site devoted to a little girl with huge eyes. I won’t mention her name but she has hundreds, possibly thousands, of images on the internet recording her development since she was a baby. She has a huge following, many male, who post comments about how much they love her. Youtube seems to allow it to continue in spite of the many concerns that some people are expressing there.

I do wonder when her parent or guardian, if they actually are, will decide it’s time to stop doing this?
