I've never eaten a parsnip. Anyone know how to cook them? Or do you just eat them raw?

I sauté them in olive oil. Yum 🙂

if you don't like them you didn't add enough garlic or cream...

If all else fails, quarter them, remove the core if it is hard, and treat the quarters as carrots.

I'm not usually a parsnip fan but the ones I had last Friday in a Christmas pub lunch were to die for. I'm not sure exactly how they were done, but I'm guessing that they were honey roasted with black cracked pepper dusted on them. MMMMMM

If you still have time to cook, wrap a bunch of parsnips in alluminium kitchen foil (aluminum, if you are a yanky low bottom 😀) and throw in 2 slices of lemon and 1 huge chillie, finely chopped. Place into oven, and bake in a tray, along with a huge turkey, potatoes....... etc tech. That's the way to cook a parsnip. Otherwise you can just boil the f out of it, and drink the water, for the goodness. 🙂😉

parboil then honey glaze and roast. I got flu for Christmas and couldn't eat most of my dinner, but I made sure I got my share of the roast parsnips! 🙂
