You ever heard of sarcasm?

And the Santa story is so old, and it was because he was drunk.

I'm going to be in Philadelphia this weekend playing in the National Chess Congress which is being held at the Sheraton on 17th and Race Streets. Two questions:

1) The name of a decent bar/restaurant in the area where I can grab a few brews and a steak/burger/wings/pizza etc. etc. after I finish my games for the day; and

2) Th ...[text shortened]... nds 5 and 6.

Walking distance from the Sheraton is preferable. Thanks in advance.
Wondering if your stay was pleasant and if your tournament went well.

Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond my control having nothing to do with chess or the tournament, I had to return home after one day. I played only two games drawing the first and winning the second.

I wound up getting a cheese steak in the Sheraton hotel bar. Had to leave right after my second game which finished at 9 PM.

What's a cheese steak? Steak with cheese sauce, or what?

Edit:

Oh.
My.
God.

They were invented in Philly and are big in the Northeast USA. Of course, Eurotrash and Eurotrash wannabees will find that a sufficient reason to hate them.

Sorry, I've been working all weekend, I missed this post. Your 5 blocks from China town, just head East towards 12th st. if you like chinese food. If not, try the Reading Terminal at 11th & Arch, Arch is one street over from Race. They have great food: bbq chicken, steaks, pork, fresh produce, really anything. Don't go to a sports bar and root for the Giants or Redskins in Philly, watch it in the Hotel.

And stop with the we threw snowballs at Santa stories, that was @ 35 years ago.

What's our Machete Ratio?

P-

COLD STEEL PANGA MACHETE
Manufactured in South Africa, constructed from medium carbon
steel with a black finish. The impact resistant handle is designed
to provide a no slip grip. If it's tough enough for the African bush,
they're tough enough for your backyard! 16" Blade, 22" overall.
