Could someone please tell me what is the intended purpose of the pieces beneath the analysis board. It is quite apparent they can be moved onto the board, and pieces on the board can be removed, but how would this help some one analyse an existing game? I also note three or more kings can be on the board at the same time which clearly can never be. I feel their is a simple answer to this that evades me.

there is an annoying drop shadow featured on the "last piece captured"
nowhere else can i find a drop shadow featured
why would this annoy me?
a fact of life is that my eyes are increasingly deficient and tis difficult at times to see much of anything at all
i don't mind hallucinations that i don't have to pay for, but they are much less predictable than the ones paid for
drop shadows stink

2 restrictions when promoting a pawn: you cannot make it a pawn or a king

@Aino saidDon't feel discouraged by that. Earl Of Trumps is one of the better players on this site. He beats up on all of us, not too mention moonbus and a few others. 🙂
