"Been playing here a long time now, usually pretty slow and with the same people, today though I wanted some new games and found however a very limited offer.
Has the player copulation on this website diminished? Or did I just pick a slow period?"

I don't know, but if we up the copulation, the population is likely to grow as well, in the long term.

Being relatively new hear I wasn't gonna mention it but the lack of player copulation on this site has resulted in some blinking long chess games.😠

Sit on the livingroom/den/library/kitchen floor, cross your legs, place your elbows on your knees, put your hands together in a prayerlike manner, close your eyes and say ohmmmmmmmm a few times. If this doesn't work get a rope.

Maybe it's the other way around - maybe all that chess playing has lowered the odds of copulation...

Tell her that you're quite capable of watching the board and hearing her talk at the same time. You don't need your ears to play good chess - ask Petrosian!
And if she complains that you may hear without listening to her, well, of course you tell her that pay just as much attention to what she says with the board in front of you as without. You are in no obligation to inform her that, with or without chess, that's "none"...
