I've had people ask me about my band. Well, we finally got a few of the rough mixes of our tracks up so I welcome you all to check it out and let me know what you think.

We're all over the place, genre-wise, but we mainly stick to garage, country, punk and rock.

Enjoy!

Now usually I don't listen to this sort of music but to be fair I was tapping my fingers. It's not bad at all.

There's something of 'Diamond Dogs' in 'Pappy', I like that. How about setting up some reciprocla links? Our new swanky website will be out in a week or so.

I don't run the website but I don't see there being a problem with that...

Kinda takes me back to my days of listening to Veruca Salt, (early) Garbage, etc but with male vocals and a country edge. A bit similar to Swervedriver, until it goes all country on Lemon Meringue.

Maybe just me but I get a whiff of 'the ace of spades' in the guitar after the initial couple of drum bars in the intro to Pappy.

Overall: Not bad... not bad at all.

I've never met a musician who liked being compared to another musician, you've probably just posted the equivalent of a punch in the gut for darvlay.

Darv, nice website. I'll be downloading your tracks on Monday.

I never met a musician who wasn't somehow influenced by other music that went before.

Tribute acts???

If the musisian you are comparing with is liked by the person you are talking to I see no problem. If you said wow that was just like busted or mcfly then it might not go down so well.

Every musician will have bands that have inspired them and they enjoy the music of and I would say comparing them with these bands wouldn't be so bad.
