Why do you suppose so many unhappy people across the world seem to suffer from a serious lack of self esteem and dislike of happy people?

You already answered yourself. You said "unhappy" people suffer.
Well of course they suffer, they are unhappy.
If they were happy then you would have a case to wonder why they suffer from low self esteem.

As I was walking up the stairs,
I met a man who wasn't there.
He wasn't there again today,
I wish, I wish, he'd go away.

Low self esteem the cause or the result of the sad life condition and daily behavior of unhappy people?

Edit: First things first, Chucklets... a warm welcome to RHP.

Interesting quote, Phlabibit. Totally impressed. Relativistic viewpoints and diversionary replies, however, still succeed in begging the question.

why do you suppose you have such a compulsion to assert: "people who disagree with me are unhappy and lack self-esteem?"

this must be the 100th thread you've created to 'ask' the same 'question'.

i'll tell ya...

all of life iz suffering...
there iz NO escape...
from tha moment a human iz born, he/she iz on a forced march to hiz/her grave...
the only thingy, the ONLY thingy that allows relief from this relentless torture of tha body and soul iz desire...

do you wish to be happy???
then it iz so...

it really iz not very difficult...

BUT,
something tells me you already understand this...

so,
are you here az a teacher, or a foil???

Would most people characterize themselves as happy or unhappy?

Hey, Fin. No nonsense reply to your thoughtful question: Just a socially assertive Swede unafraid to speak his mind to other happy people.

Good question, along with the earlier: 'Low self esteem the cause or the result of the sad life condition and daily behavior of unhappy people?'
