"Principles to Press to Your Forehead"

#1. Weak sister males are always petty and subjective. Count on it. There's also a direct correlation
between the cleverness and subtlety of their public behavior and their general intelligence.

#2. Wives who, for whatever the reason, arrogantly attempt to control and assume the rightful leadership
role of their husbands... destroy them, along with the marriage in the process.

#3. Success and promotion in any area of endeavor in life take place gradually... one step at a time
and never overnight. Patience is still a prime virtue and indication of character strength.

Nobody here on RHP has posted as many times as you managed to with content that my poor (non-native English) mind is not able to understand. Bravo!

Meph, maybe sometime we could play a few 'coaching games' as mentioned in your profile (rated or unrated) for my benefit.

Enjoy asymmetrical early lines but always struggle with a few of them, especially the Latvian Gambit. I'd like that. -Bobby

I know nothing about the Latvian gambit that you couldn't read in books or chess sites. I never played it as black nor did I have to face it as white.

ps. and I am scared about the chat that would go with that game 😉

That would still not give me more insight into the latvian gambit 😕

#3. Footnote of forewarning: Often those steps lead to some pretty deep pits. It's more than okay,

though, because capacity to handle adversity must precede capacity to handle promotion and prosperity.

You are the accomplished player and 'coach'. My purpose would be to learn, yours to teach. Forget the Latvian. Maybe sometime when yours
truly is on especially good behavior, we could explore a few of your own favorite variations of otherwise common openings. Just a thought.

Thanks again for weighing in. Will do my utmost to speak clearly. -gb

14 posts and not one comment on the sexism of this "principle"?
