WoW!! I seriously dont get it! Stalling? I simply dont understand how one can stall? There are time limits, if someone has 72 hours to make a move then, they have 72 hours to make a move. If they want to take 69.9 hrs. to make their move then, maybe they need 69.9 hrs. to make their move. Maybe they are not as good as you and, they need more time? Maybe t ...[text shortened]... are some people afraid of?? Making a blunder in a won position??

I could be wrong... either way, he appears to be playing again and his score has reached its normal level. I suggest we 'let it go' and just play.

Originally posted by erice1i haven't really cared about most of these posts, but this one is actually problematic. erice1, you have absolutely no idea how much i charge (if i do) to teach chess. please refrain from talking about things you no NOTHING about. i keep my price extremely low so that kids who otherwise would not learn chess get a chance. also, they (or anyone else i deal with) could not care any less about my rating on here. keep your complaints about my redhotpawn action.

Originally posted by Ragnorakif you are going to quote prices, know ALL the prices i use. you only have 1 number and you definitely dont have the figures of how many kids i teach for free.
$5 per hour seems pretty steep. My classes work out at about €1-€2 an hour for the kids I coach.
I wouldn't dream of calling myself a not for profit.

Mount Paran Knights is the chess program at Mount Paran Church.
The spring session will consist of 18 classes starting on Jan 9th.
All levels of experience are welcome, but we anticipate that most children will just be learning the game for the first time. Higher skilled players are welcome and the class structure will change accordingly for those players.
Classes will be taught from 6-7 P.M. on Wednesdays in the 4th grade classroom near Power House. Email us for more specific directions.
Program fees:
4 weeks - $20
Entire spring session - 19 Weeks - $90 (1st week free!)
Cash or checks made out to Games For Life can be brought to the first class attended.
If 20 kids turn up then that makes $100 an hour, 50 kids makes it $250 per hour. If you ain't making a profit at these levels then there is something wrong.
Originally posted by adramforallthanks for the unnecessary math lesson adramforall, but my point still remains. that is just one of the prices i have for lessons. in order to make a judgment, i would recommend having ALL the prices - including the free lessons.

Never mind the bull crap in this thread, why the hell does €1-€2 come out as euros in the quote part only???
I want answers. 😠
Edit: And answers I can understand. Good luck with that one. 😞
As for rchapman.. I think we should leave the poor guy alone. I assume he does some good work for the kids and choose to believe what he's telling us. Believing otherwise doesn't do anyone any good.
