Not a recipe, just some things to try.

Yes, the basics, beef (we call it ground beef, minced beef is probably same), onions, worcestershire sauce, some kind of tomato base.

Try these ingredients, either one at a time, or a few together:

tomato paste

ketchup

mustard (your pref. either yellow or deli mustard)

brown sugar (don't need to add much)

chili powd ...[text shortened]... y minced)

can try finely diced bell pepper (some people don't like this added in, personal pref.)
