By no means a complete list of the old school, these bands are what I recall when given a 'punk rock' prompt, and should definitely also be counted.

Btw,Green Day never sold out(if such a thing is at all possible,I mean,even the Pistols were only made possible through the hopes of making a lot of money,albeit not by the bandmembers),they were commercial from day 1,imo.Still had a few good songs though.
