I've been to Mexico and Jamaica for pleasure. I've passed through Germany and Ireland on my way to Iraq on "business"

You have to also understand the size of the United States. Our invidiual states are the size of many countries, where in some places in Europe you can go on a road trip and visit many other countries, that same road trip here would be hoping from state to state.

Most Americans I know have been to Mexico at least once. Many others have been to Canada. We only have two neighboring countries and the US is huge.
