I've lived in a smoke-free town for a couple years and recently was just about to get on a bus when someone lit up at the stop and the wind carried the smell right to me. What a buzz! The worrying thing is that I never even used to smoke!

It's been 72 hours since I have last lit up one of those glorious Marlboro Reds. The nicotine jitters have subsided but I still have fits of rage. Just last night I shot my dog for continually barking for nothing. I guess thats better than lighting up.

It can be done mate, one step at a time. . .Just don't give up if you have a fly puff, its not the end of the world. Relapse is part of recovery 🙂

I used to have a cig after training (i know, sounds mad now), and when i left the club after i stopped i could actually tell which breaths should've had smoke in them .

Another strange effect is that you get your senses of smell and taste back to normal. . .which you'll enjoy your first beer of the night better.
I practiced quiting for a year first, and the next year (my official stop time) i smoked about three cigs, but i didn't enjoy them anymore, they kinda made me feel sick.try sticking $50- in a jar every week for all the money you'd save on smokes, then think of something that costs a grand to spend your extra cash on.
Staying away from your smoking buddies, even only for a couple of weeks/ a month, will help you during your tender times. Once you've stopped a month, theres no point starting again if you think about it 🙂
