Rap is a parasite on the music scene. It is an absolutely vile waste of time. It is completely shallow and totally debases women. Plus any idiot can do it.
To those of you who listen to it - just one time listen to something else - jazz, rock, classical, country, native American chants..anything!! You'll be exposed to things like singing, melodies, rhythm, instrumentation.
Anybody who continues to listen to it has no sense of music. None.
Quit listening to the idiot rap stations. Don't support the crack head alcoholic losers who rap. They are laughing at you because they know that they are spewing crap.
I'm sick of it. Disco was a higher denominator of music. Rap is completing what disco failed to do...destroying music.

I don't like rap either, but I don't think it is worse than a lot of the untalented stuff out there. And a few bits of rap actually do have some complexity and artistry to it.
I tried sampling it because I think that all forms of music should have some quality to it. But you have to listen to countless hours to find anything of value.
There are so many better choices. I think that those who only listen to rap really don't like or have any interest in music. They like the fashion and the pointless message.
It's a shame that so much corporate attention is paid to it.
