has been banned then why is he still shown in the top 20 ????

the first few banned players have been ascribed a 500 rating, but the later banned will loose their rating only with time (when their opponents claim their time outs)

The opponents cannot claim their wins.. the claim win will be disabled..
I believe what is done, if they are still doing like they did for the first round, they will eventually drop the rating to 500, and resign the games of those banned players.... but.. if I'm wrong. someone will correct me. 😉

Sorry. To be honest, I don't really know exactly what happens, but I do know that what Ponderable said is wrong.

If I had to guess, I'd say that its all a manual process, but that Russ has modified the system allowing him to resign the games without either players being rated. I don't think that system was in place the first time, so Russ cleverly hacked a solution by setting the booted players' rating to 500, so their opponents rating wouldn't increase. Once he bettered the system, the need to set the rating at 500 became less important. It will happen whenever Russ gets around to it. At a guess.

fckallie's games have been resigned already, but his rating is still at 2261.

The first few cheats did have their ratings set to 500... this was before the mod team, and they were users playing themselves from another user name.

Get with the prog, NOOB

Who gives a damn about where his name is? Soon it'll be gone, like all of our names someday.
