Reading People #101

Recently make some new friends? Things getting hot and heavy with a boyfriend or girlfriend? Interested in learning what they're really made

of and what makes them tick? Read between the lines. Pay attention to little things. Key on instinctive behavior during unguarded moments:

#1. Notice the individual's attitude toward small children and household pets. #2. What level of respect and rapport does the person have with

his or her parents? #3. Does he or she already enjoy solid friendships within (or easily threatened by those of) his or her own gender? #4. Still

true that words matter and that people brag about what they lack and are quick to criticize faults and shortcomings in others which they possess.

#5. In romance go to school on his or her table manners and eating style. On picnics or in restaurants, it's a sneak preview of behavior in bed.

"1 I can't stand pets and see no value in them. I love my grandkids
#2 - I never forget mother and fathers day. Tryy to visit one week a year (they're over 2000 miles away)
#3 - yes but very few of them
#4 - nobody's perfect
#5 - Eating style? I don't get that one. I'm not a pig but might use the wrong spoon.

My wife, kids and grandkids all love me I believe. What else is there that matters?

Ah, who cares? Why did I bother? These forums invite selfish labors of vanity and of spilling of one's self interest. The ultimate whine fest.

Fascinating, isn't it, the knee jerk manner in which you've unwittingly downgraded the thread topic (reading other people) to an enthusiastic

examination of yourself. True an unexamined life is not worth living. True also that your A+ results conflict with your apparent self doubt.

Too bad I didn't read this thread before.

Deep inside me, I knew the politeness, small portions, and quick eating at the restaurant were not good signals.

Yes, very much so next time I'm in Arizona, with both you and your dear bride at your favorite upscale restaurant... and I'm buying.

Verily, verily and you, Smog, are one of them. Please try to remember that I still give the benefit of doubt, easily forgive and am only toying with you.

1. I love my daughter and would kill everyone else to protect her. My dog is a great companion, but, if I was really hungry I'd eat him.

2. I love my parents, but, I am distant from them. I no longer seek their approval. If I was really hungry I'd probably eat them too.

3. I have an easy rapport with most people, but, I am subtle, cunning and manioulative in my dealings with all people. I always position myself in such a way as to have the upper hand.

4. People like me because I am supportive and work to their betterment as well as my own success. I breed loyalty amongst the people that work with and for me. When I need to dismantle one of these people, it is made all the easier as I have humbly supported them and known to be a truly fair and deliberate person.

5. I am well versed in impeccable table manners, however, I will shift them to suite the situation or those I associate with. One must be able to walk with kings and low men.
