i don't know about his IQ, but wasn't the part of his brain that did maths about 4 times larger than it was meant to be?

yeah-testing isn't good! what with A/B tests, unit assesments, practice assesments, and the final exams, along with our actual course work and homework, and all this during the period when teenages just want to be teenagers!...
Einstein was good at maths?

I am actually a member of the 'guinea pig generation' in England & Wales. First year to go through the whole system on the National Curriculum; first year to take Key Stage 1; first year to take Key Stage 2; first year to take the new A-Levels (with ASs and stuff); and as a bonus the first year in my school to do Key Stage 3. Had I been just 5 months older, I would have had only 2 sets of exams at primary & secondary school, as opposed to 6!

The government seems to have gone test-crazy in order produce league tables, which only entrench inequality by making sure parents send bright and/or well-off children to 'good' schools and the less fortunate children get left with the bad schools.

I might do an IQ test just so that if I get a high score, I can persistently and deliberately fail to brag about it in such circles where people get hung up about this sort of thing.

I took an IQ test. They're silly-and no sour grapes. You can even ask.

i know (2nd gen ginea-pig), its a bitch. had "10+" at year 6 which came with 3 sets[b] of mocks then in year 7 it was the "11+" with more mocks. then the "reading test" which appartenly tells our IQ also came sats and another reading test, all came with mocks.

then in year 10 came gcse's wahoo, 2 years till exams.... nope 2 sets of mocks in year 10, foolowed by mocks in year11 and then the real things

next up A-levels a year for as, a year for a2, bah! 6 months to do a years course (those in england will remember the news about all the pupils who were going into exams before they had finished the course)
not only that but they jammed in mocks in that 6 month period!

then straight after exams we shoved straight back to school for a2, which came with 2 yes [b]2
sets of mocks!

thats 8 exam periods in 7 years then mocks on top of that
