I had heard the "be water" advice before and liked it but only recently learned that it was something Bruce Lee's character said to James Francisco's character on the TV show Longstreet, back in those perhaps to some mythical 1970s when TV shows and movies were gritty and good.
Which does not detract at all from its usefulness and relevance today. 😉
