You were the one that generalized by saying Just because you aren't Mensa you don't have to be ridiculous. I just answered in the same coin.
How is pointing out that not being in Mensa doesn't mean that you have to be ridiculous a generalization? I don't think that being stupid or ridiculous is limited to either Mensans or non-Mensans.
[b st if people are looking for other people who share some characteristics with them.
As for valuing intelligence in my human relations, well...so do I. However, we are talking about IQ tests and, specifically, a sentence that people interact with more ease around an interval of the score of that test. And let's not forgot that the criteria for "intelligence" that they test are highly debatable. I don't think Mensans are an interesting bunch, especially because those who went there to find "intelligent" people because the outside "stupid ones" didn't suffice. That idea is implicit or explicit and that idea is what I'm against.
To "pass" a test so that you can interact with a group of people is a repulsive idea to me. That is all.
Edit - Sorry for my English which usually is crap at this hour.

I understand that yes, 1 in 50=2 in 100=2%.
It's a ploy to make people think, "Wow, I may be the one out of 50."
Sounds "closer".

You'll have to go to the local chapter in your area.Usually the pre meetings are at bars or street corners.
You see, you can learn all sorts of things on RHP.
I warped back to a day when we used to meet after the bars closed. Hence the 4 a.m. thing.
