That means the antenna has to be designed to handle a wide range of frequencies which is not an easy thing so they end up a compromise so thats another block to convert your radio. Both Yeasu and Icom have specialized radios that transmit and receive the aircraft band but you don't want to transmit so check out short wave radios that has the aircraft band included.
So, basically it can't be done with what I have.
I was just at the airport today and noticed that someone had a Walkie Talkie that was able to receive and send to all the airport frequencies. They could even get ground clearance before they even went out to the plane.
So, I checked my Walkie talkie when I got home and it is nowhere near the same frequency.
Thanks for the info.
🙂

Does anyone know specifically how the computer runs this thing? It goes in waves of increasing and decreasing heaviness in my station. Probably harder to notice changes in other stations....
It must give our selections a rating based on rhythm, tempo or whatever and then work up and down through your playlist counting the ones with that number. I guess if y ...[text shortened]... NE1 know?
I'm just trying to run my baby into hell. See if I can run Miss Lucy Fur over....
My radio station may well have made my music collection obselete.
Originally posted by 7ate9Don't forget to do the thumbs up or thumbs down thing, it fine tunes the computer search. I am into folk music so sometimes I get a band like Fleetwood Mac which is a fine band for sure but even though it is an acoustic cut, if I give it a thumbs up, it will steer the search engine in a rock direction and I might end up with a Metallica cut or some such. So I give Fleetwood Mac a thumbs down even though I might like the particular cut but I want to steer back to the world of folk music. One thing I don't know, if someone else comes in and listens to my station what cuts would they start listening to. It would be nice if I could tell someone something is playing and have someone else come in and take a listen.
I always miss the rules and that...
Specific songs are hard to get out(maybe impossible), but artists you select tend to come up a bit. Maybe if you load it right up with a large amount of your choices, they might stand a better chance of coming out?

Originally posted by stockenSigh, it doesn't work like that. It's a radio station. It plays all sorts of things randomly but according to your tastes. Once you say you don't like something you won't hear it again, but you won't necessarily hear the tracks you liked before for weeks etc.
Well, this is fun and all but how can I play the station from the beginning (without all the entries I thumbed down)? 😕
