I think you have missed the point here!

    Travel? Yes!

But why go to dangerous troubled areas ?

Is it really ignorant to want to visit somewhere else?

The world has so much more to offer, or didn't you realise?

Why is it astoundingly ignorant to not want to spend your money on a holiday you would not enjoy.

Having been to Tunisia myself I would never, ever go there again if you paid me.

I witnessed one of the most appalling and cruel attacks on an overladen exhausted donkey, a stabbing, and I also picked up Amoebic Dysentry and Salmonella there!

Fine example of online persona anonymity and disinhibition resulting in crudespeak.

I have tried it and it was not to my taste, I don't really like any spirits other than whisky with a single ice cube and usually only after a fine British ale, nom nom nom

The Sinia peninsula has a lot to offer in terms of history, landscape and seascape. The diving is some of the best in the world with enough natural dive sites to keep anyone happy for many years. The underwater geology is spectacular especially in the area of the Ras Mohamed national park where the gulf of Aqaba decends nearly 2 kilometres from reef walls filled with 12 foot fan corals and more fish species than you could shake a stick at. Further up the gulf there is the straits of Tiran and some wonderful aquarium like dive sites and further still Dahab and the Blue Hole and canyon. Round the peninsula into the gulf of Suez is the wreck and war grave of the WW2 supply ship SS Thislegorm.

I have wonderful memories of this place, the friends we made over the years, the hotel staff at the Hyatt where we stayed every time, and of course the sea life. A beautiful place.

History, landscape, and seascape one can find the whole world over.

Even here in Wales they abound.

Beautiful places all over our amazing planet, so it is a personal choice where one chooses to visit, not ignorance.
