And remembering those - killed, scarred, maimed - who
didn't do it for altruism but because they were told to.
RIP
How could 3 people thumb this down?
You should be ashamed.

Military victory involves the loss of your enemy's blood.
Yes, as well as the blood of your own military personnel:

French West Africa lost about 50,000 men
and France and UK lost about a million each."

Noticed. How pitiful indeed.

So, dweebs, tell me something, when are you going to celebrate the
fallen ones of:

Nicaragua
Guatemala
Indonesia
Iran
Chile
South Vietnam

... and the many other countries in which your uniformed assassins
went to depose governments, bomb children, and open up the game
for the multinationals to ravage the natural resources?

These are facts, contained in Congressional hearings and declassified
documents, so have a little bit of cojones and tell me how you feel
about those people stomped by your multinational-owned robocops?

No wonder airplanes can't zigzag towers.

I'm not celebrating any deaths.
Nor any heroes.
Just the innocent. (ie the vast, vast majority)

Wouldn't that "day which remembers them too" be determined by the citizens of:

"Nicaragua
Guatemala
Indonesia
Iran
Chile
South Vietnam"? (Seitse)

Do other countries have any legitimate basis or right to interfere with their sovereignty? From my vantage point as USA Citizen, I'd vote "no".

Hey Mister - ever put a uniform on for your own country & strapped on some gear? Yea, didn't think so. Coward. Spewing your own self righteous propaganda & exposing your hatred in every post.
Do you contribute anything positive to this site or life in general? Please do tell.

Spoken by someone who has never served.
Veterans Day is not about celebrating deaths dummy.

Only in the eyes of the ignorant. Some people have to make the ultimate sacrifice to keep your lot cowering under the bed safe and free.
So, so true.
