You know you're right it is offensive to the disabled. I donate money to the special olympics and years ago I was a volounteer.
We often laugh at things that aren't political correct. For me, this was one of those times.
For me, the difference is this:
It's alright for me to laugh at that picture of the handicapped kid with the caption as lon ...[text shortened]... e that such an action is wrong.
Do you see the difference or did I use too many big words?
Personlly I don't find it at all bad that we are all laughing at the disabled kid joke, I couldn't care less. It's not in my nature to be easily offended. However, when you, who have been so vocal in the forums about being nice to each other, and not being rude, find it hilarious, I want to know why you are holding double standards. You failed to acknowledge that it was wrong, if you believed so.
Basically what you are saying is that it is all right to laugh at someone's disability or problem behind their back, because it does not offend them directly, but as soon as you say it to their face you should be banned from the forums and such like. Don't forget that that is a real kid in that picture, imagine how he feels.
