To me, there's nothing better than a great mix tape (or CD). These days it's all about playlist on your iPod or just playing tunes off your computer. Sometimes it's nice to go back to your roots and pop in an old mix tape from high school and remember the good old days.
A good mix tape can be better than any Beatles record or any Stones records and definitely better than any N*Sync record.
That being said, I have co-ordinated and particpated in many mix tape/CD exchanges over the years and I'm wondering if anyone on RHP would be interested in doing one.
What happens is we get a list of people who want to participate, they state what kind of music they want on their tape and what kind they will put on the tape they make (Hip Hop, Rock, Indie, Metal, Techno, whatever!). Once we have the complete list, I'll coordinate who gets who's tape and then we mail them off.
Obviously, if you have reservations about giving someone your mailing address then you probably won't want to join. But I trust all of you and am willing to see how it goes!
