Nice. Did you mix that from vinyl yourself? Its good.
I'm amazed we both had the Gotan Project on our mix cds. 🙂

It is a bit rough around the edges when you listen closely and was tough to do via MD, so I have since bought a PC to record into but made the mistake of putting it online also - am surfing more than mixing now!
I think Darvlay did a great job of partnering us off... heard some stuff I have got but don't listen to often enough, some stuff that is up there on my most played, and some stuff I missed along the line (the real gems on your CD for me to go and find out more about).
Still diggin' that 'A Guy called Gerald' stuff for starters... 🙂
Any particular favourites from what you've heard so far?
Used to listen to Ninja Tunes, Mo'Wax and other breakbeat religiously, but the last couple of years have drifted away from whatever reason - except the odd late night OneWorld/Giles Peterson show on Radio 1. Just too much music out there!
Nice work, folks!
Am eagerly awaiting Darlay's aural assault! 😉

But off the top of my head...
Well, I've always had a softspot for 3, the magic number since it was the first song I got on vinyl (free on packet of Frosties, strangely enough). The Whale Fish choon (Shanty Town) is cool as well.
I like a lot of the funky stuff on there as well. I'll have to send u on some Big Bud, its funky DnB. The Shadow/Krush stuff isn't music I'd normally listen to (even though I have the albums), but its good to hear all the new stuff, and gives me ideas on new bands to check out.
Tis all good.
Cheers,
D

Originally posted by MarcusrI am still stuck on Ninja and Shadow stuff, but trying to listen wider purely through using iTunes a bit more on party shuffle. There is so much stuff I bought and never really listened to in the past - almost 8 days worth of dance/electronica alone. Not touched my old Indie stuff yet.

The Big Bud funky DnB sounds good :o) I wish I had spent a bit more time getting into the DnB scene when I was at uni and straight after...
