Perhaps I could write a short story comprised entirely of quaint English expressions?

I've started already. I do so hope I managed to get the "right" topic.🙄
Originally posted by @ghost-of-a-dukeWhy not - there are plenty of those, charming ones. 🙂

Originally posted by @torunn🙂 I did actually bounce a story idea off my wife, who promptly tweaked it and bounced back an even better one.

Originally posted by @ghost-of-a-dukeMake sure you give her a mention in your acceptance speech. Oh wait that may be a wee bit premature. 😲😉

I may just have to write it.

Ponderable, who will be running it, says "free topic." See page 3.
Originally posted by @paul-a-robertsActually point 5 of my post stated maximum of two entries per participant. We don't want you to carry all the medals 😉

Originally posted by @ponderableThere are many good writers here. The entries usually are so different so it is really hard to say which one is better than the other. Look forward to reading all of them.

Originally posted by @ponderableSorry. My goof.

I did state the topic "emotions". This I did as I read that some guidance was wanted.

Originally posted by @very-rustyI think a collaboration would be two or more people actually doing the writing. The contest has traditionally been a solo effort. Ideas, though, can come from any source. An idea is not a story until molded and polished by the writer.
