Just a suggestion, but might be interesting to have a shared theme this year for entrants (or perhaps a few compulsory words that the authors will have to skillfully incorporate?)

Lats year vandervelde stepped up to take the lead.
It would be great to have one.
I was only thinking of this the other day. 🙂
I’d be very happy to run it if that’s ok with everyone here?

Hi all, I seem to be missing the plan. I'm new to the comp, what is the word count, genre, entry date etc? Oh, and how would I get an entry in?

Sorry for all the queries.

At this point it is being discussed on who is going to run it.

My vote, in the spirit of voting on the stories:
1) Silverstriker
2) Ponderable
3) Drewnogal

In fact I would take the lead if vandervelde and Ghost wouldn't take it up.

I will participate. My pieces are recognisable though by my heavy German Accent 😉

Edit: correcting typo, GBS quoted correctly
Sorry but I missed your interest in running it 😳 and only offered because I have the time. Silverstriker told me he’d made a decision to stop running it some time ago so unless he’s changed his mind you should do it...please?

No need to be embarrassed.

I will take up the repsonsability and copy vanderveldes text from last year:

1. Deadline for submitting is March 8th 24.00 Greenwich Time.

2. Free topic.

3. Max. length: 800 words (use Word count tool, don't count the title, usually it helps to cut off some words ...).

4. Entries of 800 word cannot fit in private message. If you are submitting such giants of prose, there are 2 (two) ways to do it:

- to send 2 PMs (private messages) which means you cut the story in two parts (err, like French baguette when you do it with bleeding heart just as not to kick other subway passenger's eye out)
or
- to send the entry via e-mail (ask for my address by private message).

Good luck.

So:

1. topic: emotion (it was asked to have a theme and this I think is narrow and broad enough).

2. max length: 800 words (excluding the title, which however has to fit in one line here so max. 40 characters)

3. deadline 5th of March 12:00 Site time. This gives everybody six week and a full weekend).

4. submissions to Ponderable_Dickens@yahoo.com please indicate RHP in the suject line.

5. maximum of two submissions per author.

6. I will set up a thread for voting/commenting probably 5th of March which will be open two weeks.

Well done and thank you. We’re off! 🙂
