Allow me sir to introduce you to Mr Imagination. 🙂
Catfood Tim was a giant of a man who would spend his free time searching local alleyways for scrawny felines to fatten up...
Let me introduce you to Reality!!! 😛 😉

Have you thought about a reality thing, like Trump?

OF course not it was the alias he used. I also knew what his real name was as we had lots of P.M. conversations and agreed on some things and Strongly disagreed on others.
Very Rusty is also not a real person, but his persona seems to get you riled up often....LOL... 😛 😉

A short story also needs structure (beginning, middle and an end) which as you allude to is rather tricky in less than 800 words. You don't want to get to 783 words then have to end it all prematurely with an unintended car crash.

ROFLMAO....Seems I have you pretty riled up right now, and keep others out of it. We are talking about you and I now. Only problem is now you don't have all the backing you once had!!! 😉 😛

I agree with a lot of what has come before, it is very difficult to write a fully fledged rounded short story.
I'm pondering a few ideas currently, but will restrict myself to two stories, though many emotions I hope.
Is poetry allowed?
Originally posted by @very-rustyBah, reality is too often boring. Imagination almost always makes for a better story. We are not restricted by mundane things. Besides, these days some people have had quite enough 'reality', thank you.

If you think I'm "riled up" then you're dumber than I thought you were.
And what "backing" are you talking about?
