Just got up to read me my emails to find out where I have to show my
pretty face today.

Spot on - load of utter drivel. but this is the place we are allowed to put it.

(don't blame me - blame the blitz site, it was empty)

Seen enough of his games to see there is this good player wanting
to get out and I did try to get him to leave ...[text shortened]... hat is today's free advice which is not too bad considering I am
just out of bed.

Cheers.
your error was to assume you weren't talking to a ball of lint.

The sight of two grown men going on like this makes me embarrassed to be in the same place as the two of you. Greenpawn, you should know by now that the General Forum is the place for drivel, reasoned argument (and chess) doesn't be ...[text shortened]... clearly isn't the case.

I don't call this rubbish "banter", I call it "rubbish".
I call it banter of course.! 😏

No animals or humans were hurt in the aforementioned rubbish, or drivel. 😉

Wondering if you have ever considered giving birth to a few viable threads of your

own and, in so doing, create magnificent exceptions to the status quo you bemoan.

Drivel, rubbish, crude behavior. You never know what you're going to run into when you go slumming.

Of course I've considered it, but my mind tends to migrate towards topics which aren't what the average General Forum user wants to read. Things I may know about and enjoy would be out of place here.

It's one thing to have a bit of give and take going on in forum threads, but a 10-page thread consisting almost entirely of two users exchanging insults is a bit pointless, don't you think?

I thought we were actually very civil. Some good natured ribbing back and forth but nothing I would take as an insult.

WOW...10 pages was it? How they fly by when your having fun. I hope you didn't bore yourself to death by reading everything.

It was the wee hrs. of the am, and we weren't hurting anybody, just bantering back and forth. You do realize you don't have to read everything that is on here. 😉

That gbaway script they have will work for anyone, you could get that then you don't see anything said by the user (S) you don't care for. That would solve your problem perhaps?

Isn't it repulsive to be subjected to all these worthless scoundrels and lowlifes?

Your listed location is "by the lake." I'm betting it's Lake Superior.

Never too late to expand horizons. Please give a few the old college try.

I for one will pay attention to your welcome threads and post to them.

Easy with the "WORTHLESS", business. Scoundrel and lowlife is ok! 😛

I must have lost interest after the game was already won huh. 😉

In case you don't know 1100 players don't write chess books.

2000 players aren't really good enough either. I suppose kevin pretty much leads you around by nose though....ROFLMAO!!!

I could have given you some mate-in-one that I have miss ...[text shortened]... e we will all be allowed to do it. They might as well just do away with the Chess forum. 😛
This is just peachy. A guy on my own clan league team busting on me by association in the general forum.

All I need to do now is pawn a family heirloom for a bottle of Thunderbird and I will have hit rock bottom.

I knew there was a reason I stayed in the "only chess" forum, and I have found it.

Who is busting on you & HOW? ( As a rule I usually don't bust on my clan members ) Every rule has an exception of course.

You write chess books?

I fail to see how referring to the draw between Geoff and myself had anything to do with whatever point you were making. We were in a tournament, and we both had our tournament strategies and reasons for doing so.

I felt I owed you the courtesy of a response to your question, but I really am going to stick to the "only chess" forum ( I discovered this by scanning the "recommended" posts).

I'm sure you must have your reasons, but I'm not going to worry about it any further.

Oh yea, that was after 8 or 9 moves wasn't it.

That is called an agreed draw in advance, which I strongly disagree with.

There was certainly lots of play in that game left, and we all know it!

I fail to see what the recommended posts have to do with you and GP agreeing to a draw in a game after 8 or 9 moves. It certainly isn't fair to the rest in the tourney. I can only hope you don't do that in Clan games! 😞

Most of the recommended posts are insults or ridicule at people, usually right at the top.
