It makes a bitter sweet crumble so I like to add bramley apples. My mum grows it but not many want the fruit once it's grown, I think it's out of fashion around here at least.

Well don't bother making jam tarts with it, in my experience no one actually wants to eat them when they're made. Or jam rollypolly. How about on pancakes?
