Last time people...you can't teach an atheist to believe in God...you can't make the Sun stop in the sky...and if i wanna eat meat you can't make me stop.
Get off the soap box and leave the people who realize they have a choice...oh...same as you...in life alone.

Part of the problem is, the times we live in. Most people have never seen the slaughter of an animal. It is a shocking site to say the least. The animal often thrashes about and screams while bleeding to death.
Often times relieving themselves and puking etc. Point is yes, death isn't pretty.
For most, you go into a sanitary store, and pick out steaks which are packaged in sanitary containers. There is not much blood and gore in that.
I have worked in the meat business for over 15 years. In the stores they work hard to keep things clean and antiseptic for the benefit of the industry and the customer's peace of mind.
Sure the meat packing business is tough, but you have to break some eggs to make an omelet. Or use an egg sumstiturte. To me eggs are the grossest thing in the world. I am glad I am allergic to them.

Which is pretty hardcore for somebody who is supposed to care, or are all your "happy" threads pretence?
Edit: That's the real sad reality.
