That's quite a long time for a guitar to survive. My Fender Strat is only about 20 years old, but the tone is still better than any Gibson I've heard.

An instrument is only as good as the person playing it. An argument between which is better, Gibson or Fender is retarded.

Not to mention the inventor of overdubbing, delay effects, phasing effects, close miking, and multi-track recording.

His first album was in 1944, his last in 2008.

Gibsons and Fenders are totally different. They have their place as do all you little avaterred and non-avatarred entities on RHP. God bless all of you, even you SEitse.
