His was the silky smooth sounds of the early 60's I can still remember my mom playing his albums on the console stereo

"Let love in, its knocking"

"Juniper Wine"

Did he do the scriptwriting for Escape to Witch Mountain? I've often wondered if it was the same guy, since he wrote other stuff beside his songs.

How sad. I was actually listening to him today.

I sent my girlfriend one of his records and we ended up getting married.

I'm a bit sad now.

"If you were here today
the rain would go away
the little dogs would play
OH please stay."

Beautiful.

He done loads of things beside his music.

He played in goal for Cardif City as a teenager but an injury
forced him out of the game.

I have a pic of playing chess too.

I knew he was getting on a bit but still it's sad news.

Wasn't he on "The Love Boat"?

Wouldn't it be great to go through some of the really old series and find all the familiar faces? I'm sure we'd all recognise him, those of us who are old enough anyway.

I remember his guest appearances on the Lawrence Welk show. Very few people realize just how much of an influence he had on today's music.

I saw that once on PBS. It blew me away. I didn't realize the depth of his talent and how versitile he truly was

That's the thing, though. Most of us take for granted that the music we revere has deep rooted influences. The shame of it is that pop stars like Madonna, Britney, et al get all of the adulation when really they'd be nowehere if it weren't for the true giants like Robert Johnson, B.B. King, and Robert Malcom.

I see Ebay has suddenly been flooded with RM pictures, CD's
and memrobelia.

I was looking last week for an old LP. "Whispers." and there was nothing.
