It was me. Bid once, bid late, bid max. I had to cash in some IRA funds to pull it off, but completely worth it.

As fair warning, I've also got my eye on the smoking jacket he wore during his performance on the Steve Allen show.

Pretty old 93 had a good innings. Still think that Sir Harry Lauder was a lot better than him though.
