I have a question about Bluebabygirl?
How can she have the rating 1839 after winning one game.

But the new rating system isn't supposed to work like this!

I think the problem is that a newcomer's provisional rating is being displayed as if it was a real rating. Bluebabygirl should have completed 20 games before being awarded a rating. The fact that she has been given a rating after just one game, can only mean there's a bug.

We should probably put a sign next to the rating to indicate that it is provisional.

Or you could not display provisional ratings on the player tables. Would that work, or cause other problems?

Or better still - exclude players from the ranking table until they have played enough games to have gained a meaningful rating.

Define "meaningful". As long as I'm above 1200 I feel that is meaningful! 😲

You could also have a seperate page just for players with a provisional rating.

I guess the idea with the provisional rating is that by the time they complete 20 games they will have established a more accurate rating, and can then be switched from provisional to regular tables.
